Welcome Dr Cathy Foley Joining Innofocus’s QPC discussion

Last week was another exciting and important moment for Innofocus in the field of technology research and product development for the design, nanomanufacturing and 3D characterisation of integrated Quantum Photonic Chips (QPCs), and we were extremely honoured to have Dr Cathy Foley AO FTSE FAA PSM, Australia’s Chief Scientist 2021-2024, visit Innofocus’ Nano Manufacturing Plant in Melbourne to discuss innovative and pragmatic topics such as the technological evolution path of quantum photonic chips, the leap in manufacturing processes, the roadmap for commercial applications, and the collaborative industry-academia development of quantum ecosystem in Australia.

Dr Foley is committed to supporting the development of the Australian quantum industry and helping Australia realise the transformative potential of emerging technologies and meet the climate challenge. Team Innofocus pays our highest respect for her outstanding contribution to the establishment and development of the Australian quantum technology ecosystem! A heartful thank to Dr Foley for sharing her invaluable insights and advice, and thank you to Professor Baohua Jia, Director of Centre for Atomaterials and Nanomanufacturing (CAN) of RMIT University for providing her in-depth analyses in the field of quantum photonics technology development route.

As the world becomes increasingly dependent on data and energy, quantum photonic chips are essential to overcoming the limitations of classical systems, enabling faster computation, unbreakable security, and smarter energy solutions. At Innofocus, we’re not just imaging the future; we’re building it. With our world-leading high-precision, high-resolution, high-yield and high-device-performance laser nanomanufacturing capabilities that are set to revolutionise classical technologies, we are creating the nanoscale building blocks of QPCs, making QPCs a reality.
